Work from home, based in the Milford, MA area, traveling to customer sites to perform verification, preventative maintenance, repair, and installation on a wide range of Instron products. Maintain a regional focus in the greater Boston area with occasional travel to other locations in the US; up to 30% overnight travel may be required. Operate with a high level of autonomy and provide strong customer service and support to clients. Qualifications
A two- or four-year technical degree from an accredited university; equivalent military or trade school training may be accepted in lieu of a degree. Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret basic technical information involving mechanics and electronics associated with materials testing systems. Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics; familiarity with electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems; and proficiency with PCs and Windows applications. Strong organizational, time management, and customer service skills; high level of autonomy. Prior field service experience strongly preferred. Automation systems experience is a plus; experience with servo hydraulic systems and materials testing is preferred but not required. Must be able to pass security background checks to gain access to US Government and military facilities. Additional Information and Benefits
Company vehicle, tools/equipment, laptop computer, and cell phone provided; support of an established service operation. Role location: Milford, MA with regional focus in the greater Boston area. Salary starting range: $34 to $37 per hour/year (depending on factors such as experience and qualifications).
