We have an opportunity for a highly motivated person whose work will reflect Instron’s commitment to customer satisfaction. Working remotely from the Greater Chicago, IL area, you will be responsible for traveling to customer sites to perform verification, preventative maintenance, repair, and installation of Instron’s products.
You will be provided with a company vehicle, tools, equipment, a laptop, cell phone, and MI-FI device, with support from our well-established service operation. Regional responsibility includes customers in Wisconsin and Illinois, with occasional travel across the US, up to 40% overnight.
Qualifications:
Two or four-year technical degree or equivalent military/trade school training.
Ability to read and interpret technical information, blueprints, and schematics.
Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems; familiarity with PCs and Windows applications.
High level of autonomy, organizational skills, and customer service skills.
Prior field service experience preferred.
Automation systems experience is a plus.
Experience with materials testing or servo hydraulic systems is preferred.
Experience delivering technical training is a plus.
Additional Information:
This position offers a competitive starting salary of $30.90 - $41.70 per hour, based on experience and skills, along with benefits including health, dental, life, LTD insurance, 401k with match, and tuition reimbursement.
