Overview

Procurement Specialist role at Solar Turbines. The position involves direct work with a group of suppliers in the Forgings Supply Chain and cross-functional clients to ensure uninterrupted material availability through the Global Supply Chain to worldwide locations, in response to customer requirements. The role focuses on supplier performance, quality, cost, delivery, and customer satisfaction. This position operates within a team and may participate in and lead projects aligned with organizational objectives. Travel to internal production areas and external supplier sites may be required. Responsibilities

Day-to-day and strategic supplier management including purchase order placement, follow-up, issue resolution, demand/forecast communication, and contract preparation; negotiate terms and provide solutions to a wide range of issues. Manage supplier relationships and performance metrics; facilitate communications and mitigate risks that could impact customer commitments or business plans. Lead and participate in projects from conception to maturity that support organizational objectives; work within a team including a Sourcing Specialist, Supply Chain Coordinator/Planner, and Supplier Technical Engineer; report to a Supply Chain Manager. Operate in compliance with corporate and Supply Chain policies and procedures; apply Safety and Values in Action principles. Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years of purchasing experience or equivalent experience in a similar role; or Master’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain with 3-5 years of purchasing experience. Experience with ERP software and proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio). Fluent in Business English (written and oral). Preferred Qualifications

Supply Chain Certification (ASCM/APICS, IIPMR, ISCEA, ISM, or similar). Affiliation with ISM, ASCM/APICS, or equivalent professional purchasing organizations. Demonstrated background in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field. Strong communication, analytical, influencing, and interpersonal skills; Proactive and customer-focused behavior. Six Sigma certification (Black Belt or Green Belt) with project leadership experience; understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles. Compensation and Benefits

Summary Pay Range:

$108,834.00 - $163,252.00 Compensation and benefits vary by factors such as job level, location, knowledge, skills, performance, and experience. Salary is one component of total compensation. Benefits
