Arcadis is seeking an Architectural and Engineering Senior Design Manager to join our Design Management team within the North America Places group. We aim to grow our team of skilled Design Managers throughout North America. We work with clients to deliver projects in Industrial & Logistics, Intermodal Terminals, Data Centres, Commercial, Retail, Residential, Defence or Social Infrastructure (Arts, Sports, Health and Education), Automotive, Industrial Manufacturing, Rail, Urban Development Tech, Aerospace & Aviation. Role accountabilities
Coordinating with internal and external architects, engineers, designers, consultants, and managers to align strategic objectives and progress Spearheading strategic pursuits, creating delivery strategies and fee projections to achieve financial targets and optimal delivery approaches Maintaining financial and project management controls to enable monitoring, modification, and forecasting Managing acquisition, deployment, and optimization of project resources Driving timely service delivery, including technical and commercial outcomes, and conducting reviews to exceed client expectations Implementing design delivery best practices, including risk and change management, project setup and planning using internal and external digital technologies Understanding project scopes quickly and developing execution plans for various Design and Engineering service deliveries Delivering client presentations, preparing written reports, and communicating technical concepts related to scoping requirements and risk Qualifications & Experience
10+ years of relevant experience leading large multi-disciplinary design-engineered solutions and construction projects Strong financial background related to projects and client management Experience with Autodesk platforms: Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or BIM solutions OBTAIN Certified Project Management (CPM) status within 30 days of hire (company provided training) BA in Architecture or Engineering-related fields focused on the built environment Preferred certifications: PE, RA, PMP Practical sustainability experience; knowledge of unique mechanical systems is a plus Experience in urban environments implementing transformative solutions Why Arcadis?
