Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly financial statements. Manage all aspects of the month-end and year-end close processes. Maintain compliance with GAAP, FAR, and DCAA regulations. Oversee project accounting, indirect rate allocations, and labor distribution within Costpoint. Reconcile unbilled receivables, deferred revenue, and contract-related accounts. Assist with audits (financial, DCAA, and incurred cost submissions). Prepare supporting schedules for financial reporting, budgets, and forecasts. Partner with contracts and project management teams to ensure accurate billing and revenue recognition. Support process improvements and internal control enhancements. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA candidate preferred. 3–8 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a government contracting environment. Hands-on experience with Deltek Costpoint (required). Strong knowledge of FAR, DCAA compliance, and cost allocation principles. Experience with project-based accounting and indirect rate structures. Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Seniority level
