The Sacramento County Department of Technology, which provides embedded IT support to the Probation Department, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Application Developer for an Information Technology Analyst III position. This position plays a critical role in both modernizing our technology stack and ensuring the continued operation of essential legacy systems. Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain web applications using C#, Web API, and Angular Support and maintain legacy systems developed in WebForms, WinForms, and Classic ASP Provide ongoing support for application issues, resolve bugs, and enhance system functionality Conduct code reviews for Information Technology Analyst (ITA) Level I and II developers Perform full stack development across front-end and back-end technologies Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers Manage application deployments and coordinate release activities Create and maintain technical documentation for developed applications and system configurations Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and end-users to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in application development Proficiency in C#, .NET, and Web API development Strong experience with Angular (v19+ preferred), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3 Strong SQL Server experience with T-SQL, tables, views, stored procedures and relational databases Experience with RESTful services and API integration Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and version control systems Desired Qualifications
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure Experience maintaining legacy applications in WebForms, WinForms, and Classic ASP Demonstrated ability to mentor junior developers and lead technical discussions Company
