Director - Finance & Accounting - Executive Search. StevenDouglas has been retained to identify a newly created Corporate Accounting Manager to assist with growth of the firm. This is a great opportunity to work for a PE-backed organization and have great exposure to leadership. This individual must have cost accounting experience. Base pay range
$120,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Lead annual cost roll processes and ensure accurate product costing and margin analysis. Support SKU rationalization and inventory reserve analyses. Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of financial reporting. Partner with operations and supply chain teams to monitor variances, yields, scrap, and absorption rates. Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and intercompany transactions. Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls. Collaborate with plant finance teams, operations managers, and supply chain leaders to provide financial insight that support business decisions. Partner with operations on inventory counts, reconciliation processes, and continuous improvement initiatives. Drive efficiency in close processes through automation, standardization, and optimization of workflows. Support ERP integration efforts and ensure financial data accuracy within manufacturing systems. Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and collaboration. Ensure adherence to internal controls and SOX compliance where applicable. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred). 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing or consumer industrial sectors. Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting, and cost analysis. Proficiency with Blackline and other ERP systems. Solid understanding of US GAAP and internal control frameworks.
