Senior Risk Portfolio Data Analyst role at
BILL . Join our Risk Portfolio Analytics department to drive sound credit risk decisions across BILL's financial products. Leverage advanced analytics to shape portfolio strategy, solve complex problems, and provide actionable insights that support the integrity and growth of BILL's risk platform. Responsibilities
Develop and implement advanced analytics solutions to monitor, assess, and optimize portfolio risk for credit and lending products. Develop and maintain credit loss forecasting models (e.g., Probability of Default, Loss Given Default methodologies and/or machine learning techniques) to project expected credit losses across product lines and economic scenarios. Analyze portfolio trends, macroeconomic indicators, and fintech data streams (e.g., alternative credit data, behavioral metrics) to inform model assumptions, refine loss estimation, and provide variance analysis to executive leadership and risk committees. Analyze large, complex datasets to uncover trends, identify risks, and recommend actionable strategies that support business objectives. Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Risk Strategy teams to drive strategic initiatives. Design and maintain dashboards and reporting tools, translating results into clear narratives for technical and non-technical stakeholders. Advise on adoption of new data sources, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve portfolio analytics capabilities. Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of industry experience in risk analytics, data analysis or data science Bachelor's degree preferably in Economics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related technical field Demonstrated expertise in data analytics, quantitative modeling, or risk portfolio analysis within financial services Proficiency with analytics tools (SQL, Python, or R) and ability to manipulate large data sets to derive actionable insights Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of creatively resolving complex business challenges Excellent communication skills and ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders to achieve business goals Visa Sponsorship: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. The role is based in San Jose, CA, with options for remote work where applicable.
