The Corporate Accounting Manager will manage a team of two and oversee staff development, review workpapers, provide guidance, coaching and issue resolution. This role is responsible for all global cash flow related deliverables, including budgeting, forecasting and reporting actual results in both statutory and management views, as well as technical accounting tasks and external/internal reporting. Role Responsibilities
Cash flow budgeting and forecasting Delivery of consolidated mid-term plan, monthly budget, latest estimates (LE) and S&OP. Coordinate regional deliverables with corporate and regional teams; review input templates for budget and forecast. Obtain regional assumptions of DSOs, DPOs and other inputs impacting cash flow outcomes. Lead regional discussions with controllership teams to understand cash flow forecast and budget methodology; maintain version control to explain changes between iterations. Cash flow results Report actuals in management view (regional and consolidated) monthly, with explanations of variances. Complete prior year comparables and explain changes due to foreign exchange rates and non-recurring items. Report actuals in statutory view semi-annually with explanations of current vs prior period changes. Review rollforwards in support of cash flow preparation for completeness and accuracy. Cash flow presentation and reporting Manage deliverables to parent company and executive leadership, including Hyperion submissions and board decks with explanations of balance sheet and cash flow movements. Drive process improvements to increase cash flow accuracy and efficiency. Serve as main point of contact for cash flow inquiries from FP&A, parent company, auditors and internal/external stakeholders. Lead technical discussions on cash flow treatments of complex transactions. Manage regional cash flow publication workbooks. Corporate Accounting and Ledger Ownership Manage monthly close and corporate accounting tasks such as lease and derivatives accounting. Consolidation Support Prepare monthly and semi-annual schedules and reports to the parent company. Support regional accounting teams in resolving issues related to monthly reporting. Assist with audits of financial statements and the semi-annual reporting package. Other Build and maintain strong relationships with Regional Controllers and Global Business Services to ensure unified presentation of consolidated financial statements. Oversee staff preparation of monthly and quarterly financial workpapers; provide guidance and issue resolution in monthly reporting. Support ad hoc reporting requests, including preparation of financial statements for required government reports. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting Five or more years of experience with public accounting and/or companies of similar size Experience in a leadership role with a track record of growing an accounting/finance team in a fast-paced environment Ability to work effectively with internal staff, senior leadership, external partners, directors, tax and legal advisors Working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards Knowledge of SAP and EPM reporting systems is a plus Excellent written and oral communication skills Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, including identifying and documenting key controls and processes, assisting with remediation activities, and supporting related internal controls testing Salary and Benefits
The salary range for this role, based in Chicago, Illinois is $110k-$120k, with an annual bonus, 401K match, profit sharing, and medical and wellness benefits.
