How You’ll Contribute Under general supervision, the Field Engineer will commission AV systems at client sites to provide optimal performance according to the scope and design intent. Responsibilities include drawing redlines, coordinating networks, and communicating with the project team. What You’ll Do Commission AV systems at client sites by optimizing equipment settings to ensure the system operates as designed, documenting changes via redlines returned to the PM and DE, and completing the project quality checklist. Pre-commission systems in the office. Perform programming and configuration loading and testing; debug control systems with remote programmers. Communicate status to project stakeholders regularly. Troubleshoot technical issues by tracing signal flow and coordinating with appropriate parties. Configure AV network and coordinate client network. Create and modify DSP files for typical systems with emphasis on AEC optimization for videoconferencing and coordinating control objects with programmers. Contribute lessons learned feedback to install, design, and pre-sales engineering teams to improve system designs and implementations. Archive configuration and programming files with clear labeling to increase efficiency for the service team. Maintain and grow certifications and technical knowledge. What You’ll Bring Required Skills/Qualifications: 3+ years\' experience in Audio-Visual installation/commissioning Ability to communicate concisely and effectively with the project team Ability to troubleshoot basic and complex AV and network systems Familiar with MTR and Zoom Rooms Required DSP certification from Biamp, QSC, or BSS Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 Self-starter with minimal direct oversight AVIXA CTS-I AVIXA CTS Preferred Extron AV Associate Preferred Audinate Dante Level 1 Preferred Control certification from QSC, Extron, or Crestron Preferred Good customer service skills Field installation and/or system design experience Knowledge of broadcast or hybrid conference-live event systems Able to commission and troubleshoot using only a virtual connection with onsite support Audinate Dante Level 2 Biamp Tesira Server Q-Sys Level 2 and Control 201 Extron Certified Control Professional Shure Integrated Systems Level 1 Physical Requirements Associate will spend most of the day on their feet on the jobsite. Must be able to occasionally lift at least 40 lbs and be able to climb ladders and stairs. Specific vision abilities and hearing are required. Travel Frequent travel by car and occasional airplane trips are required. Valid driver’s license required. Employee may use their own vehicle; mileage reimbursed at the current corporate rate. Local travel to job sites (within a 2-hour drive each way) typically 70–90%; remote travel up to 30% at times. Approximately 10% remote travel is required regularly.
