6+ years in Public Accounting About the Role One of our top clients out of Washington, DC is looking for a skilled Tax Manager with heavy experience in partnership taxation. This is a premier opportunity for a tax professional with 6+ years of public accounting experience and a strong background in real estate taxation. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in real estate structures, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for delivering strategic tax solutions. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and play a key role in managing complex tax engagements across a diverse real estate portfolio. Key Responsibilities Manage and review federal, state, and local tax filings for real estate partnerships, REITs, and high-net-worth individuals. Lead tax planning and structuring for real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and 1031 exchanges. Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on real estate tax strategies and compliance matters. Supervise and mentor junior tax staff, fostering technical growth and professional development. Monitor changes in tax legislation affecting the real estate industry and communicate implications to clients and internal teams. Support business development efforts and contribute to client relationship management. Qualifications CPA license or actively testing highly preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s in Taxation preferred. Minimum of 6 years of progressive tax experience in public accounting, with a focus on real estate clients. Strong understanding of partnership taxation, REIT compliance, and real estate investment structures. Excellent leadership, communication, and client service skills.
