Data Scientist position at SAIC located in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. TS/SCI clearance is required. Responsibilities
Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights. Develop and implement machine learning models to support predictive analytics and decision-making. Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data quality, availability, and readiness for analysis. Design and execute tests to validate AI models and optimize their performance. Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through reports, dashboards, and visualizations. Stay updated on advancements in data science, AI, and machine learning technologies. Support the operational integration of AI/ML solutions to enhance intelligence capabilities. Qualifications
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R. Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical methods, and data visualization techniques. Experience with data analysis tools and frameworks (e.g., Jupyter, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Power BI, Tableau, Palantir). Experience with cloud-based AI/ML platforms and tools (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Experience with leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT, or similar frameworks for tasks like NLP, text generation, summarization, or conversational AI. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Education and Experience
Bachelors and five (5) years or more of experience; Masters and three (3) years or more of experience; PhD or JD and zero (0) years or more of experience; four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree. Qualifications (Desired)
Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field. Experience with NLP and computer vision techniques. Familiarity with Army Intelligence Enterprise data requirements and workflows. Knowledge of MLOps practices and tools for deploying and maintaining AI models. Clearance
Minimum: TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI with Poly. Additional Details
