EV Charging Field Service Electrician

responsible for on-site repair and maintenance of EV charging stations in a specific geographic region, including site safety, electrical system maintenance/repair, and site field reports. The role requires the ability to work independently in the field under varying conditions. Core Responsibilities

Perform OEM testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades/revisions to equipment ranging from Level 2 EV chargers to DC Fast Chargers. Test equipment using insulation testing (megger testing), thermal imagery, torque tests, and performance evaluations. Troubleshoot system performance issues and locate/isolate ground faults. Coordinate with Planning and Scheduling to adhere to maintenance schedules and complete work orders accurately and on time. Review site manuals and drawings to ensure proper service and maintenance of equipment. Perform in-field electrical and mechanical preventative and corrective maintenance, site field reporting, and work order completion. Document issues in the work order system and address them promptly. Core Experience / Qualifications

Electrical – Certified Electrician (Journeyman level) from a relevant state (REQUIRED). 2+ years’ experience servicing electrical power equipment in the commercial or utility energy field and/or formal electrical training. Strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of EV chargers, solar power installations, or other power electronics is preferred but not required. Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to generate, track, and complete site work requirements. Ability to analyze and resolve problems independently with a results-oriented approach. Willingness to work in all elements (heat, cold, rain, snow) depending on location. Ability to work around high voltages and currents; wear PPE (hard hat, safety glasses). Conduct site safety assessments, document safety hazards, and complete JHA, LOTO, and other OSHA/site-specific documentation. Compensation

Pay Range : $23.00-$40.00 hourly/DOE Actual compensation depends on skill set, experience, and location. In addition to wages, employees may be eligible for bonuses, stipends, company vehicle, per diem, and other compensation.
