Interpret data and review data prepared by others to evaluate past financial performance, create projections, and assist management in business decisions. Coordinate and consolidate departmental financial information for development of annual operating and capital budgets and five-year plans. Analyze, extract, and define complex financial data; plan and conduct studies to determine costs and financial results of activities; review financial needs and explore financing options. Adjust budgets and implement cost improvement measures; prepare and present budget proposals to senior management. Create financial systems, controls, and reporting structures; implement quality control and process improvements for business processes. Review operating and financial plans, proposed program increases, and estimated costs; recommend actions to improve financial performance. Evaluate capital expenditure proposals, profit plans, and financial statements. Oversee moderately complex to complex budget accounts; ensure funds are expended appropriately and advise on funding shortfalls. Stay current with laws and regulations impacting compliance and serve as a resource for administrative and financial staff. Utilize software applications (spreadsheets, databases, statistical and graphics tools) to assemble, manipulate, and report data. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field. Five years of progressively responsible related financial experience. Equivalency options per Johns Hopkins University guidelines may substitute education or experience. Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree preferred. Technical Qualifications & Certifications

Strong analytical and modeling capabilities, with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Technical Skills & Proficiency (Expected)
