Community of Hope is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive, high-quality primary and preventive healthcare services to individuals and families across the lifespan. This position is located at the Family Health and Birth Center in Northeast, DC. Our Approach and Values

Provide direct, team based clinical care to patients, meeting clinical standards, within the appropriate scope of practice. Provide virtual medical care to patients, following approved guidelines and refer them for in-person visits as needed. Refer patients to specialists and for care coordination as needed. Cooperate with clinical and office policies and protocols. Maintain the required productivity numbers as set by Community of Hope. Precept residents, medical students, nurse practitioner students, midwifery students, and physician assistant students during rotations as agreed with supervisor. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards, procedures, and legal guidelines. Sign off on laboratory results, diagnostic imaging results, and referral reports in a timely fashion; share information with patients as appropriate. Requirements

Must-Haves Completion of a Family Nurse Practitioner program of study. National Certification as Family Nurse Practitioner. Licensed to practice in the District of Columbia required. MD licensure option reimbursement is available for providers licensed in Maryland with appropriate paperwork. Current BLS certification (ACLS or BLS for the Healthcare Provider or equivalent). Able to work across clinical sites if requested. Shares Saturday clinic coverage with other providers by completing at least one Saturday shift per month. Able to work evening hours as needed. Nice-to-Haves Bilingual in Spanish and/or Amharic. Familiarity with eClinicalWorks. Nonprofit or mission-driven healthcare experience. Why You’ll Love Working Here
