Summary
Performs general office, sterilization and chairside duties in support of dental clinic and operatory functions.
Responsibilities
- Performs general office, sterilization and chairside duties in support of dental clinic and operatory functions.
Minimum Education
- Currently enrolled in dental assisting program or has successfully completed a dental assisting program
- CDA certification preferred
- Current radiology certificate with Ohio Dental Board
Minimum Work Experience
- Chairside experience
- Experience scheduling appointments and collecting patient data
- Experience with equipment maintenance and inventory and ordering of supplies
- Experience developing digital x-rays and inputting them into computer
- Experience with dental software, Dentrix preferred
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Excellent oral communication skills with ability to interact professionally and compassionately with patients and co-workers
- Knowledge of dental terminology and office practice and procedures
- Basic computer skills
- Experience entering patient data, appointments and treatment plans in computer
- Population Specific Competency: ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity
Hours and Employment Type
8am-5pm Monday-Thursday, 8am-2pm Friday. Full Time, 40-hour week. Akron Campus Dental Clinic.
Salary and Benefits
$21.54/hr - $25.86/hr. The salary range on this job posting is base salary exclusive of bonuses or differentials. Pay is determined based on factors such as experience and location.
