Description

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for a limited range of parish administrative functions as laid out below. Administrative Assistant is a non-supervisory position and is responsible for performing a significant amount of technical work in addition to administrative duties. The Administrative Assistant reports to the Pastor or Parish Administrator. This position is part time 20 hours a week. This position will split time between St. George and St. Jude parishes.

Essential Functions

  • Track and schedule all parish maintenance.
  • Research new parish services as needed (ex: phone, internet, etc.).
  • Oversee parish hall rentals and coordinates the use of other physical spaces needed for the mission of our parish.
  • Help direct parishioners and visitors to staff and volunteers who can aid their journey of holiness.
  • Prepare the weekly bulletin.
  • Send out weekly parish communications (i.e. Flocknote).
  • Aid the pastor in any other needs he has.
  • Maintain parish registration database.
  • Orders office and janitorial Supplies.

  • Demonstrate trust and respect through consistent honesty and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Use strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Promote a sense of collaboration and teamwork with the Parish community.

Basic Qualifications

  • Intermediate skill level using Microsoft Office products.
  • Familiarity with the Catholic understanding of ministry is an asset.
