About the Opportunity

Are you an experienced HVAC professional who enjoys hands-on work, travel, and keeping critical systems running? Our client, a mission-driven professional services firm supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), is looking for an HVAC Technician to join their growing team in Oklahoma City!

This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in high-quality technical work, enjoys variety in their day, and wants to contribute to a mission that directly supports national aviation safety.

What You’ll Do

  • 🚚 Transport, install, maintain, and repair mobile commercial HVAC units (up to 25 tons).
  • 🔧 Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs following manufacturer and FAA standards
  • 🌡️ Install temporary ducting, connect thermostats, and perform startup and operational checks
  • 🧰 Inspect and maintain trailers and transport equipment for DOT compliance, including lighting, tires, axles, hitches, and more
  • 🪚 Perform basic carpentry and corrosion control as needed
  • 🛞 Ensure equipment is always in top operating condition
  • ✈️ Support FAA’s mission, ensuring the safety of millions of passengers and daily flights

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • 1–5 years of experience in mobile HVAC systems installation, maintenance, and repair
  • Valid DOT driver’s license
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
  • EPA license to purchase Freon (or willingness to obtain)
  • Must hold a REAL ID or U.S. Passport

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • NEC and EPA Section 608 Certifications
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint
  • Prior experience supporting the FAA or other government clients
