O'Reilly Auto Parts is hiring: Merchandiser/Cashier in Jacksonville

Overview

Responsibilities

• Greet customers on sales floor, assist in locating merchandise or direct them to a parts specialist if needed.
• Check in, price, and stock merchandise; keep display floor fronted, full, and clean daily.
• Make display changes according to company guidelines and planograms; update out-front price changes; ensure sale signs are in place and sale merchandise is displayed; remove sale materials when the sale ends and restore original pricing.
• Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
• Work with the manager to complete store To Do List and Team Weekly tasks.
• Act as main shoplifting deterrent/front floor security.
• Assist with O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities.
• Clock in/out according to company policy.

Cashier duties

• Check out customers purchasing front floor merchandise quickly and in a friendly manner.
• Handle merchandise returns from customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
• When the express lane is not busy, assist customers by completing tickets, handling payments (cash, checks, credit cards, etc.).

Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities

Required: Good aptitude for dealing with numbers, good interpersonal communication skills, and good organizational skills.

Desired: Previous cashier and/or stocking experience; ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle; fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
