Overview
This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central and Northern New Hampshire, White Mountain Early Learning Center. The club custodian works during non-club hours (approximately 15-20 hours per week) to ensure the facility is safe, organized, clean, and sanitary, and may address basic facility maintenance needs.
Responsibilities
- Dust and mop floors
- Vacuum carpets
- Clean restrooms and restock paper and soap supplies
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment
- Empty trash and replace trash bags
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with appropriate cleaners and equipment
- May change light bulbs when requested
- Maintain a safety-conscious attitude in performing duties
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment
- May perform basic building maintenance as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be at least 20 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED
- Professional demeanor
- Comprehensive knowledge of processes and systems related to cleaning and maintenance of the facility
- Experience cleaning up after large groups (e.g., a school or recreation department building)
- High work accuracy and attention to detail
- Knowledge of safe use of equipment and cleaning materials
- Working knowledge of proper storing and use of chemicals
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Must be a team player
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
