Center Director – Suncook Early Learning Center Base pay range : $43,888.00/yr – $47,741.00/yr

Location: Suncook, NH

Summary The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central and Northern New Hampshire supports 200 staff across 30 Early Childhood and Out‑of‑School‑Time programs. We seek a caring, energetic, and organized Center Director to oversee programming and daily enrichment activities at the Suncook Early Learning Center. The Director provides mission, vision, and leadership, manages administration, budget, curriculum, community outreach, staff development, and performance evaluation.

Responsibilities

Develop and coordinate program content in education, health, social services, parent involvement, nutrition, disabilities, and transportation.

Evaluate programs continually, track outcome metrics, and ensure activities meet diverse member needs.

Increase program visibility and build community connections with local, county, and state agencies.

Recruit and manage children and their families, facilitating parent involvement in decision‑making.

Execute personnel policies: hire, fire, supervise all center staff and volunteers.

Communicate effectively with center staff, Branch/Unit Directors, and administration.

Provide training and professional development for teachers and support staff.

Maintain and monitor budgets; manage monthly receipts and expenditures.

Complete additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree or certificate in early childhood education (or related field).

Minimum 1,500 hours of experience in an early childhood program.

Experience in staff supervision, fiscal management, and administration.

Knowledge of child development and current educational theories and practices.

Strong communication with parents/guardians; ability to motivate staff and manage behavior with patience.

Proven ability to plan and implement high‑quality programs; creative teaching practices.

Full knowledge of New Hampshire childcare licensing rules.

Preferred: familiarity with NAEYC accreditation and CPR/First Aid certifications.

Must possess a safe driving record; occasional driving of Club van/short bus may be required.

May be required to assist in cleaning, organizing, and attending staff meetings/training sessions.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment May require prolonged standing; lifting or pushing up to 50 lbs. may be necessary.

Additional Expectations

All candidates must submit for an FBI fingerprint background check and a state of NH criminal records check.

The New Hampshire Childcare Licensing Bureau may prohibit employment if a disqualifying finding is present.

The organization maintains a zero‑tolerance policy for abuse and mistreatment; violations may result in termination and legal action.
