Material Handler - 3rd Shift (Transportation)

Responsibilities

  • Operate warehouse forklift, clamp or reach truck to move materials, supplies and finished goods to designated places in the facility or onto trucks.
  • Comply with company operating, safety, and housekeeping procedures, practices, and policies.
  • Unloads material and completes appropriate paperwork with truck deliveries and places material in appropriate locations within the warehouse.
  • Provide each machine with the proper stock and cases as required by Manufacturing Orders (MO) and ensure continuous production flow.
  • Provide accurate and legible transfer and return slips; verify accuracy of work in progress (WIP) and finished goods transfers and follow up with corrective action as needed.
  • Unload incoming materials safely, confirm freight bill accuracy, and correct discrepancies; place products for optimal visibility and accessibility.
  • Pick finished goods for shipment, weigh and wrap pallets, and complete necessary paperwork; load raw materials or finished products onto outbound trucks.
  • Perform equipment safety and operation checks (battery, brakes, lift controls, fire extinguisher) and maintain charged batteries as needed.
  • Conduct cycle counts and inform Production Supervisor or Inventory Specialist as required.
  • Keep the work area organized according to standards, productivity, housekeeping, and safety requirements; stack skids and pallets in designated areas.
  • Report operational deviations, mechanical problems, or damage to equipment immediately.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions, including Manufacturing Orders, Job Hazard Analysis, policies and procedures.
  • Basic math skills and good communication; ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to accurately complete shipping, receiving, and inventory forms.
  • Physical ability to perform lifting and moving of products; typical weight 25–50 lbs, with occasional lifting heavier materials.
  • Ability to stand for most of the shift with some sitting; comfortable working in a non-temperature-controlled environment.

Working Conditions

Hearing protection and steel-toed shoes are required. Safety, hygiene and cleanliness are strictly enforced. Periods of long standing and walking; handling of materials as described above.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation Range: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour, based on applicable law and the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant, as well as position requirements. ACR reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
