TEKsystems is hiring: IT Support Technician in Hilton Head Island

Overview

TEKsystems is looking to hire a team of IT Support specialists to assist in a healthcare migration in the Hilton Head, SC area. Starting in November or December 2025 and lasting through the end of February 2026, this is a 4-month project, 100% on-site. This is a 24/7 run environment, so flexibility on shift is necessary to be highly considered. The role will include some manual labor, so candidates must be comfortable walking long distances and lifting IT equipment.

Responsibilities

• Support the transition pre-go-live and go-live efforts in hospital and surrounding clinics.
• Install, configure, and support end-user devices, peripherals, and software.
• Deploy various end-user hardware, including physical installation, network connection, and basic configuration (documentation provided).
• Hardware may include printers, scanners (barcode and document), carts, laptops, and desktops.
• Use predefined scripts to test workstations within the footprint to validate printing/mapping.
• Submit incidents and perform basic troubleshooting to rectify issues discovered during testing.
• Support hardware refresh and facility technology deployment projects.
• Collaborate with internal Novant stakeholders for escalations and complex issue resolution.
• Perform root cause analysis and provide technical documentation when appropriate.
• Provide basic technical training to end users.
• Maintain accurate asset tracking and documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s degree and CompTIA A+ is preferred.
• Experience in PC/computer hardware (professional, internship, or personal projects).
• Experience in Windows OS.
• If no professional experience, must have IT degree, certification, or personal IT support experience.
• Shifts: 1st and 3rd shifts needed.
• May need to drive a personal vehicle to surrounding clinics in the area (mileage reimbursement provided at federal level).
• Must be flexible to work weekends (hospital operations.)
• Must be willing to complete medical compliance.

Pay and Benefits

• Pay range: $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
