Neuropsychologist - Pediatric at SSM Health
Location: Madison, WI
Job Summary Provide psychological evaluations, direct therapeutic services and consultative mental healthcare services to individuals, families and treatment teams.
Responsibilities
Outpatient neuropsychological assessments and consultations
Integrated care coordination with Neurosciences
Diverse referrals from primary care, neurology, and other specialties
Advises on population health related matters for target population (content expert for this population in the health system)
Collaborates with medical professionals when patient/family needs dictate; conducts and interprets diagnostic tests
Documents patient care in the medical record according to federal, state, and agency guidelines
Establishes differential diagnosis, develops treatment plans and monitors response; refers for psychotherapy and to other SSM Health and community resources as indicated
Formulates, executes and reviews healthcare education delivered to patients and families
Offers supervision of psychometricians, LPCs and psychologists as needed for assessments
Participates in policy development, quality improvement, multidisciplinary team meetings and evaluations
Performs clinical history and psychological assessments, risk factor assessments, and psychiatric diagnostic assessments using indicated tools
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
PhD or PsyD with post-doctoral training in Neuropsychology
Board Certification or eligibility within 2 years preferred
WI licensure eligibility and National Register inclusion
Education & Experience
Education: Doctorate in Psychology or related field
Experience: Two years' experience
Physical Requirements
Frequent reaching, sitting, standing and walking
Vision and depth perception for near and far distances
Hearing and speech for communication; ability to hear alarms
Frequent keyboard use/data entry
Occasional bending, stooping, climbing, twisting and gripping
Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs
Occasional driving
Licenses & Certifications
State licenses: Wisconsin Psychologist license (or eligibility)
