Overview
Join Cleveland Clinic as a Clinical Pharmacist in one of three specialty areas: Transplant, Emergency Medicine, or Critical Care. This posting represents multiple openings; selected candidates will be hired into a specific specialty based on interest, experience, and departmental need. A caregiver in this role will work from 8:00am to 4:30pm. The position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 to $10,000. Responsibilities
Provide safe, efficient, patient-centered and evidence-based pharmacy and medication services. Ensure the appropriate selection, dosing, administration and dispensing of medication orders. Verify medication orders and/or dispense medications accurately according to state and federal regulations. Document services in a complete, accurate and timely manner. Actively contribute to medication safety initiatives. Ensure all pharmacy operations are in compliance with national accreditation standards. Educate and train students, residents, other caregivers, and/or patients. Provide cost-effective care. Minimum qualifications
PharmD or Bachelor’s of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible in current state within 90 days of hire Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Completion of a Board of Pharmacy approved course in the administration of immunizations or certification within 90 days of hire for individuals administering immunizations Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) upon or within one of hire for individuals responding to adult or pediatric cardiopulmonary arrest events Preferred qualifications
Board Certification Completion of a Post-Graduate Year 1 Residency (PGY1), fellowship or relevant post-graduate pharmacy experience Post-Graduate Year 2 Residency (PGY2) or relevant experience for Clinical Pharmacists in a specialized pharmacy practice area Physical requirements
Typical physical demands include ability to stand and walk for prolonged times, approximately 75% of shift and continuously for extended periods of time. Manual dexterity to perform computer and dispensing functions; ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Position often includes reaching, stretching, stooping, climbing steps and sitting. Normal or corrected vision. Ability to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person. Personal Protective Equipment
