$32.65/hr - $49.00/hr Overview MRI Technologist-Glen Ellyn-Weekends Position Highlights: PRN; 16 Hours Hours: E/O weekend 7:30am-4:00pm. Holiday and Travel as needed Performs complex diagnostic MRI procedures, including routine MRIs and MRAs, patient histories, IV insertions, and contrast administration, under radiologist supervision. Acts as a patient liaison and maintains a positive imaging environment. Responsibilities: Performs quality assurance checks and ensures MRI safety standards Manages ferromagnetic materials and emergency procedures Checks patient transfer equipment and operates MRI equipment according to protocols Completes protocolling tasks and performs examinations as per MRI protocols Properly identifies patients and explains procedures in understandable terms Verifies MRI screening forms and administers IV contrast under physician guidance Prepares and positions patients, ensuring high-quality imaging Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited MRI program ARRT Registered Technologist (RT(MR)) or ARMRIT Certified Technologist BLS, AED, and Pediatric CPR certification Minimum one year MRI experience Physical ability to stand, bend, reach, lift 50-100 lbs., and manipulate equipment Good eyesight and hearing for patient observation and communication Ability to multitask and stay composed under stress The role offers a pay range of $32.65-$49.00/hr, with actual pay based on experience, skills, and location.
