Description
We are currently seeking a skilled MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing mental health care to children and adolescents, making a significant impact on their well-being and development. You will be involved in a variety of projects aimed at diagnosing, treating, and supporting young patients dealing with psychiatric disorders. As an MD or DO specializing in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, you will have the opportunity to work on projects that focus on promoting mental wellness, addressing behavioral issues, and collaborating with families and other healthcare professionals. This role is essential in ensuring the overall mental health and stability of young individuals, making it a rewarding and impactful position within our organization. Responsibilities
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments of children and adolescents. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Prescribe and monitor medications for psychiatric disorders. Provide therapy and counseling to young patients and their families. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care. Educate patients and families about mental health issues and treatment options. Participate in case conferences and team meetings. Stay current on advancements in the field of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Requirements
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. Board certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Valid state medical license to practice. Experience working with children and adolescents in a psychiatric setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team. Empathy and compassion towards young patients. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Must be board-certified or board-eligible. Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 7 on/7 off No call required Setting: 45-bed unit Patient Volume: 15-16 per day Patient Population: Ages 8-17 Will cover involuntary admissions Compensation & Benefits: Compensation & Benefits: Competitive base salary Sign-on and relocation package Full benefits Medical malpractice coverage
