Description
In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services to our clients in Sanford. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the well-being of patients and supporting the healthcare system in delivering quality psychiatric care. You will be involved in a variety of projects, from conducting patient assessments to developing treatment plans, all aimed at improving mental health outcomes. Responsibilities
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Prescribe and monitor medications for mental health conditions. Provide crisis intervention and support to patients in acute distress. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care. Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately. Offer psychoeducation to patients and their families about mental health disorders. Participate in case conferences and treatment planning meetings. Requirements
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution. Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry. Valid state medical license to practice in Sanford. Strong knowledge of psychiatric disorders, treatments, and medications. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment. Empathy and compassion towards patients with mental health challenges. Detail-oriented with good organizational skills. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts No call required Setting: Inpatient Patient Census: 8 per day, 5 admissions and 5 discharges per week Average Length of Stay: 11 days Patient Population: Adults EMR: Epic Must be board-certified Paid travel & expenses
