Radiology Tech - Up to $20,000 Sign On Bonus
Eligible for up to $20,000 Sign On Bonus Summary : Under the direction of the Manager Medical Imaging, performs a variety of technical radiographic procedures; applies prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Responsible for designated areas or procedures, as required. Responsibilities include providing patient and family centered care, fostering radiologic services in accordance with the Brown University Health and The Miriam Hospital’s mission, vision, values, and consideration of the life span, including all developmental stages as well as cultural patterns. Responsibilities : Meets, greets, answers questions, and provides an understandable explanation of Radiologic examinations to patients. Provides for safety and comfort of all patients, in accordance with prescribed standards. Schedules patients for radiologic examinations, ensuring an efficient patient flow. Processes radiographic images using the CR Readers and scans the images to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) for physician review. Other responsibilities include performing diagnostic procedures, scanning documents into Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and (PACS), operating fixed radiographic equipment, assisting physician and physician assistant in the administration of opaque contrast media, and maintaining orderliness, cleanliness and adequate supplies for assigned area. Minimum Qualifications : Completion of formal training in an AMA-approved accredited school of radiologic technology or equivalent. Maintains a current license to work in the State of Rhode Island. Must hold current ARRT certification. Ability to consistently meet the following job accountabilities: critical thinking, interpersonal skills, team membership, customer focus, initiative and reliability.
