Overview
Project Engineer - Plastics Injection Molding - NY at Michael Page. Base pay range: $80,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr. This role focuses on driving engineering initiatives across tooling, process development, and manufacturing optimization, overseeing projects from concept through production launch while ensuring quality, efficiency, and scalability.
Responsibilities
Lead and support process development for new tooling, molds, and automation systems
Identify and implement continuous process improvements to maximize efficiency, safety, and product quality
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, operations, and quality to deliver projects on time and within budget
Develop and maintain documentation such as Master Process Sheets, Process Binders, and validation protocols
Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to support ongoing production operations
Ensure compliance with manufacturing standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or related discipline
3+ years of experience in plastics manufacturing, preferably injection molding or blow molding
Strong background in process development, scientific molding principles, and tooling qualification
Hands-on problem solver with excellent communication and project management skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and innovation-focused environment
