AP Executive Staffing is hiring a
Cloud Infrastructure & Azure Operations Engineer
for a dynamic, national law firm as they modernize their IT infrastructure and migrate core systems into Microsoft Azure. This hybrid role (1-2 days in-office) is a hands-on, impactful engineering position where you’ll shape a firm-wide Azure migration, ensure long-term infrastructure health, and collaborate with a growing team. Location: Buffalo, NY. Responsibilities
Lead Azure Migration: Support the transition of VMware workloads to Azure using best practices and tools like Azure Migrate. Manage & Optimize Azure: Configure and maintain virtual machines, networking, storage, and Azure SQL; monitor and control cloud costs. Infrastructure Support: Troubleshoot servers, switches, and networks across 20 offices, ensuring reliability and performance. Collaborate & Grow: Work with Microsoft, third-party vendors, and internal teams; influence design decisions and explore new technologies. Qualifications
Direct, hands-on experience migrating and managing workloads in Azure (not just third-party oversight). Strong infrastructure engineering background: VMware, networking, servers, and Microsoft 365 ecosystem (O365, Defender, Exchange, SharePoint); capable of operating in a collaborative, Microsoft-centric IT environment. Strong cost-awareness in Azure and ability to optimize usage and control spend. Problem solver with excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a hybrid, team-driven environment. Experience with Azure IaaS (Virtual Machines, Networking, Storage) and Azure SQL (PaaS and/or Managed Instance). Understanding of cloud security, identity management, and RBAC. Experience managing cloud budgets and forecasts. Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills; strong documentation and communication abilities. Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform) is a plus. Compensation & Benefits
Base pay range : $90,000.00/yr - $115,000.00/yr Additional compensation : Annual Bonus Salary notice : Salary range provided by AP Executive Staffing; your actual pay will be based on skills and experience.
