We believe in enabling clients to maximize the potential and achieve a greater market with a wide array of technology services, including, but not limited to, Enterprise Resource Planning, Application Development, Analytics, Digital, and the Internet of things (IoT).Founded in 2004, headquartered in Houston, TX, USA, Techwave leverages its expertise in Digital Transformation, Enterprise Applications, and Engineering Services to enable businesses accelerate their growth.Plus, we're a team of dreamers and doers who are pushing the boundaries of what's possible.And we want **YOU** to be a part of it.## **Job Description****Job Title:**Senior Azure Cloud Engineer**Experience: 5+ Years****Mode of Hire: Fulltime****Roles and Responsibilities:****Cloud Engineering & Infrastructure:*** Onprem to Azure migration experience is a mandatory* Lead and execute mass migration of physical and virtual servers (Windows/Linux) from on-premises data centers to Azure.* Implement migration strategies for moving workloads, servers, databases, and applications to Azure.* Implemented end-to-end data solutions (storage, backup, DC/DR, integration, processing, visualization) in Azure* Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure solutions on Microsoft Azure.* Manage Azure resources including VMs, networking, storage, and identity services.* Perform cloud migrations using tools such as Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery, Azure ARC, Azure Database Migration Service, SWPM (SAP Software Provisioning Manager) and others.* Experience in implementing the plan defined in the migration waves, dependency mapping, scheduling, cutover plans, and rollback strategies.* Configure and optimize Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, Networking (VNETs, NSGs, VPNs), Azure AD,DNS and Monitoring tools.* Collaborate with enterprise architect, cross-functional teams including network engineers, developers, and security teams to ensure smooth migration and integrations.* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS.* Automate infrastructure deployment using tools like ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform, or Azure CLI.**SQL Database Migration:*** Lead end-to-end migration of SQL Server databases to Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, or SQL Server on Azure VMs.* Assess existing database environments and develop migration strategies using tools like **DMA (Data Migration Assistant)**, **DMS (Database Migration Service)**, and **Azure Migrate**.* Optimize database performance post-migration and ensure high availability and disaster recovery configurations.**Security & Compliance:*** Implement security best practices including role-based access control (RBAC), encryption, and network security groups., Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards during migration and cloud operations.**Monitoring & Optimization:*** Set up monitoring and alerting using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.* Continuously optimize cloud resources for performance and cost-efficiency.**Collaboration & Documentation:*** Collaborate with cross-functional teams including application developers, DBAs, and DevOps engineers. Document architecture, migration plans, and operational procedures.**Required Skills & Qualifications:*** 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering with at least 3 years on Microsoft Azure (both migration and support).* Proven experience in SQL Server database administration and migration to Azure.* Strong understanding of Azure services: Azure SQL, Azure VMs, Azure Networking, Azure Storage, Azure Monitor.* Hands-on experience with migration tools: DMA, DMS, Azure Migrate.* Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Azure CLI, Terraform).* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.* Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.* Experience with VMware Cloud Administration and SKU's for virtual machines and tiers for storage accounts.* Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Database Administrator Associate are a plus.locations:
