Overview AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in Philadelphia on October 9-10, 2025 . This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2026.

The event kicks off on Thursday evening with a networking mixer from 6-8 pm , where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company itself. You’ll also have the chance to meet other students, recent graduates, and AECOM professionals from across our business lines.

On Friday, interviews will take place at our Philadelphia office . This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities.

is seeking an

Entry Level Highway Engineer

to be based in

Conshohocken, PA .

This position is expected to begin in Spring/Summer 2026.

Responsibilities In this role, you will work with more experienced engineers to design medium to large scale transportation projects in the Greater Pennsylvania Area.

Develop design criteria, horizontal and vertical alignments, superelevation, barrier/guiderail design, and spot elevation details

Develop rigid and flexible pavement designs

Develop signing and pavement marking plans and details

Develop construction phasing plans

Identify utility conflicts and coordinate resolutions

Develop construction quantities and cost estimates

Develop 3D Models in OpenRoads and/or Civil 3D

Develop technical calculations and reports per client and/or internal AECOM standards

Current notable projects

I-95 RECONSTRUCTION

(Philadelphia, PA) – Urban interstate reconstruction including interchange ramp and local roadway re-alignments, traffic control, and utility coordination in final design to mitigate level of service and improve existing conditions

STATE RD RECONSTRUCTION

(Bucks County, PA) – Suburban arterial reconstruction including right-of-way plan development, roadway geometry, pavement design, traffic control, and utility coordination in preliminary engineering to mitigate existing roadway flooding

SR1 RECONSTRUCTION

(Chester County, PA) – Freeway reconstruction including profile adjustments, interchange reconstruction, interchange ramp realignments, multiple roundabout designs, trail designs, and side road alignment adjustments.

US-22 RECONSTRUCTION

(Allentown, PA) – Urban interstate widening from 4 to 6 lanes. Project includes bridge replacement, interchange reconfiguration, stream relocation, sound barriers, safety improvements, traffic control, and utility coordination.

I-81 RECONSTRUCTION

(Avoca, Moosic, and Scranton, PA) - Urban Interstate reconstruction including mainline widening, 2 interchanges being fully reconstructed including ramp realignments, intersection improvements, right-of- way coordination, and structure coordination for 15 bridges along mainline and ramps.

Qualifications Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications:

EIT Certification

Relevant internship or co-op experience in highway design and/or transportation

Working knowledge of OpenRoads (ORD) or Civil3D design software and 3D modeling techniques
