The Workday Finance Systems Analyst is responsible for effectively aligning Workday Finance configuration and capabilities with business needs. This role requires close coordination with other technologists in Information Technology (IT) and subject matter experts in University Operations, at VIMS, and within our connected foundations to ensure optimal configuration, integration and utilization of Workday Finance functionalities. Reporting directly to the Workday ERP Platform Manager in the department of Information Technology (IT) Responsibilities
Evaluate Workday Releases: Assess the impact of new Workday Finance functionalities and features introduced in bi-annual releases. Project Management: Facilitate technology lifecycle management for all changes, from evaluation to production, engaging colleagues across the university as necessary on projects related to changes in the Workday Finance modules. Configuration and Value Management: Facilitate the consideration of shared system values through governance processes and execute the configuration changes within the platform as values are adopted and retired. Manage business process configuration changes in Workday’s Business Process Framework. Effectively relate and communicate the technical configuration to business practices when working with non-technical colleagues. Testing: Coordinate the creation and maintenance of testing plans to be used for releases and business process optimization changes. Confirm that subject matter experts have tested as defined in governance processes and all testing is documented to meet change control standards. Validate that testing plans are technically sound, aligning plans to system configuration. Training: Coordinate the creation, delivery and maintenance of training materials to support effective use of the platform. Validate that training materials are technically sound, aligning plans to system configuration. Collaboration: Coordinate with colleagues in various other University Operations teams to align Workday Finance capabilities with business needs. Engage colleagues in IT that also support the Workday environment. Work with the governance teams, change management, and communications teams as necessary. Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of system and business process configurations, testing results, and all required change control approvals and notes. Support: Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for Workday Finance-related issues escalated from frontline and business teams. Act as Named Support contact with Workday, facilitating issue resolution and exploration of unused functionality. Conditions of Employment

Hands-on experience working with ERP systems to support financial functions. Demonstrated experience supporting or managing enterprise systems in a complex environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent social and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Qualifications
Advanced experience working with Workday Financial modules. Experience in testing, configuring, and evaluating finance software solutions. Experience in higher education. In-depth knowledge of finance processes and practices. Familiarity with Workday reporting tools. Other Details

Advertised Pay Range: $75,000 to $90,000 commensurate with experience Advertised Pay Range Statement: All hiring rates are commensurate with relevant experience up to the advertised amount considering internal alignment.
