Overview
Senior Principal Systems Configuration Management Lead with Security Clearance. On-site in the greater Baltimore, MD area or Redondo Beach, CA. U.S. citizenship and a DoD clearance are required per customer requirements. Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center (NGMC) is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Configuration Management Lead to establish and implement the program"s configuration management strategy, work with Configuration Control Analysts within each IPT/Segment, and ensure effective application of the strategy throughout the program lifecycle. Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain configuration management plans, policies, and procedures. Lead and oversee configuration identification, control, auditing, status accounting, and verification processes. Ensure configuration control is applied to complex engineering changes within the project lifecycle. Coordinate with engineering, production, and quality assurance to plan and manage product baselines and documentation. Conduct configuration audits to verify conformance to requirements and facilitate discrepancy resolution. Provide expert guidance and support on configuration management best practices to project teams. Maintain configuration management databases and tools, ensuring the integrity and security of configuration data. Lead training and mentoring initiatives of other configuration analysts. Prepare detailed reports and present findings to management and programs. Engage daily with programs on configuration and change management matters and lead Configuration Control Boards. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 8 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 6 years with a Master’s degree, or 4 years with a PhD. Understanding and experience with configuration management standards and practices (e.g., ISO, ANSI, CMII). Proficient in using configuration management software tools and systems. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. U.S. citizen. Current active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph prior to start. Preferred Qualifications
Current active DoD TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance. Experience with Teamcenter, CPLM PLM, Enovia, Windchill, and/or Costpoint or similar tools. Domain knowledge of configuration management standards such as MIL-HDBK-61A and/or EIA-649B/EIA-649-1. Experience with AS9100 or ISO9001 requirements and compliance issues. Awareness of specialty engineering, modeling and testing tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python, Cypress, Cadence, Siemens Calebre). Salary and Benefits
Primary Level Salary Range: $137,400.00 - $206,000.00. Salary offers depend on the scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and long-term incentives where applicable. Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company-paid holidays, and PTO.
