Seeking a skilled and collaborative

Java Developer

to support modernization initiatives for state-level health and human services programs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, developing, and deploying

robust, scalable, and high-performance Java applications

in an

Agile/Scrum

environment. Mandatory Qualifications:

15+ years total IT experience, including 7+ years as a

Java Developer

2+ years in a

lead developer

role

Strong experience with

Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Hibernate/JPA

Hands-on with

Microservices, RESTful APIs, Maven/Gradle, JUnit, Mockito

Experience with

Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform)

and

containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)

Experience with

CI/CD tools (Jenkins)

Strong database experience:

Oracle, PostgreSQL, NoSQL

2+ years of State or Federal Government project experience

Excellent communication and analytical skills

Desirable Qualifications:

Experience in

Health and Human Services

or

Integrated Eligibility Systems (IES)

Degree in

Computer Science, Software Engineering , or equivalent

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement complex Java applications

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver scalable solutions

Participate in all SDLC stages design, coding, testing, deployment

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues; optimize performance

Maintain technical documentation and ensure compliance with standards

Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices
