IAT Insurance Group has an opening for a Supervisor, Underwriting Support for the Moving & Storage business segment. The ideal candidate will have experience leading, coaching, and developing production teams of five or more. This role operates on a hybrid schedule, in the office Monday through Wednesday with the option to work remotely Thursday and Friday.
This role will provide day-to-day oversight for Account Managers within the Moving & Storage Underwriting Support unit. The position will be in one of our offices in Alpharetta, GA or Raleigh, NC.
Responsibilities
Provides leadership to assigned staff by guiding organizational change, developing and empowering staff, cultivating relationships, and placing staff in positions to succeed while achieving organizational goals. Builds effective teams that apply diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals. Drives engagement and creates a climate where staff are motivated to perform at their best. Oversees training and quality of output of account management staff. Coordinates work to meet production and service expectations. Conducts performance evaluations, coaching conversations, team meetings, and individual one-on-ones with staff. Fosters and maintains collaborative relationships with internal and external customers. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of leadership experience, or equivalent. Equivalent is defined as 9 years of relevant insurance experience. Knowledge of Underwriting Support processes and procedures. Experience with rating and policy issuance platforms. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work across the organization at different levels. Effective written and verbal communication skills for interaction with all levels of associates and/or external sources in a variety of settings.
