Supervisor, Underwriting Support (Commercial Truck)
IAT Insurance Group has an immediate opening for a Supervisor, Underwriting Support for the Commercial Truck business segment. The ideal candidate will have experience leading, coaching, and developing production teams of five or more. Please note, IAT works on a hybrid schedule, working from the office Monday through Wednesday with the option of working remotely Thursday and Friday.
Role This role will provide day-to-day oversight for Account Managers within the Commercial Truck Underwriting Support unit. The position will be in one of our following offices:
Naperville, IL
Rolling Meadows, IL
Raleigh, NC
Omaha, NE
Responsibilities
Provides leadership to assigned staff by leading organizational change, developing and empowering staff, cultivating relationships, putting staff in a position to succeed and meet their personal career goals while also achieving organizational goals.
Builds effective teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals.
Drives engagement and creates a climate where staff are motivated to do their best.
Oversees training and quality product output of account management staff.
Coordinates work to meet production and service expectations.
Conducts performance evaluations, coaching conversations, team meetings and individual one on one meetings with staff.
Fosters and maintains collaborative relationships with internal and external customers.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of leadership experience; or equivalent.
Equivalent is defined as 7 years of relevant insurance experience.
Knowledge of Underwriting Support processes and procedures.
Experience with rating and policy issuance platforms.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work throughout the organization at different levels.
Effective written and verbal communication skills used for interaction with all levels of associates and/or external sources in a variety of settings.
To qualify, all applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require, now or in the future, VISA sponsorship for employment purposes.
Preferred To Have:
Commercial Truck experience preferred.
