Virtualization Engineer - Active TS/SCI with CI POLY
Location: Sterling, VA or Annapolis Junction, MD. Government-supported work. As a Virtualization Engineer supporting the Government, you will be responsible for physical/virtual platforms, server build deployments, server virtualization, hyperconverged platforms, and related IT infrastructure. In this role, a typical day will include: Design and build virtual environment service models including Infrastructure-as-a-Service and Platform-as-a-Service Identify, design, and implement process improvements for the virtualization of and distribution of applications: automating manual processes, optimizing delivery, redesigning infrastructure for greater scalability. Design, implement, and maintain VMware vSphere virtualization infrastructure, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and vSAN. Analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. Incorporate new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations Develop system architecture and design documentation. Interact with the Government regarding technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts Ensure the technical integrity of work and deliverables in the Systems Engineering area of responsibility Requirements
10+ years of experience in relevant field and a High School Diploma Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM. Proficiency in configuring and optimizing virtual machines, storage, and networking Knowledge of virtual switch configuration VLANs and VMware Certified Professional certification Benefits
