Senior Technical Revenue Recognition Analyst Location: United States, Massachusetts, Waltham. Hybrid on the 3DS Waltham campus. Benefits include paid holidays, long term disability, tuition reimbursement, flex time, 401(k).

Within the Corporate Finance Department, the Senior Technical Revenue Recognition Analyst is responsible for managing the revenue recognition topics for Dassault Systemes across the North America and LATAM markets. With our worldwide headquarters based in Paris, France we are a global team that collaborates across geographies to drive value for the company.

You will join an enthusiastic and dynamic team that supports our sales forces in structuring commercial contracts to ensure that revenue recognition complies with international accounting standards (IFRS). In this role, you will work closely with various stakeholders, including legal teams, sales support, and other accounting and finance departments.

Located in the 3DS Waltham campus on a "hybrid" basis, as a member of the Revenue Recognition team for the Americas scope, you will ensure the appropriate revenue recognition treatment for sales transactions in accordance with IFRS 15/ASC 606 and the Group Policy and will support the business during the negotiation of deals while optimizing the revenue recognition impacts for the company.

Your main missions will be to:

Review the deals in the sales pipeline in order to determine the appropriate revenue recognition treatment in accordance with IFRS 15/ASC 606 and the Group Revenue Recognition policy

Prepare the review and the summary of the accounting treatment of the transactions closed at each quarter end

Identify all significant revenue recognition topics and areas where significant judgment is necessary for deals in negotiation, to derive conclusions or accounting options and to communicate them effectively and timely to Finance Management and other business partners

Work during deal negotiations with other Business Administration teams, pricing, legal and sales on the structure of the deals and to propose alternatives in deal structuring to achieve the best revenue results while ensuring compliance with IFRS15/ASC 606 requirements

Be a focal contact point for any topic related to revenue recognition within the Group

Engage in the implementation and adherence of all necessary activities and procedures related to the Group "Order-to-Cash" process

Prepare requests for revenue adjustments to be booked by the Billing and Revenue Accounting team

Assist the Billing and Revenue Accounting team in the review or reconciliation of the revenue accounts and the related balance sheet accounts

Participate in Revenue Recognition Group projects aiming to improve and automate current processes and reporting

Participate in technical accounting guidance research for the development of new and/or clarification of the Group Revenue Recognition policy, as well as to monitor, research, and communicate any new guidance/recommendations applicable to 3DS revenue recognition

Interact with internal and external auditors and coordinate responses to their requests

Provide trainings on the Revenue Recognition rules for other business partners/organizations of the Group when required

Participate in the due diligence and integration of acquired companies

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field with 6+ years of relevant experience

Strong expertise of IFRS 15/ASC 606 and experience applying it in collaboration with sales teams and other business partners

Dynamic, curious, with strong analytical skills and clear, concise communication

Ability to anticipate, pay attention to detail, and adapt in a fast-moving environment

Team player with demonstrated collaboration across multiple teams

Expertise in IFRS 15 and/or ASC 606 related to software/company revenue scenarios

Experience in revenue recognition at or auditing software companies is strongly preferred

Excellent communicator with strong verbal and written skills

Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines and priorities

Proactive, well organized, autonomous, and adaptable

Proficient with Microsoft Office and common business tools

CPA license (active or inactive) or exposure to ERP systems and Revenue Accounting tools is a plus
