DevOps Engineer / Release Engineer
for a
contract job in Phoenix, AZ . This role involves leading DevOps initiatives, managing AWS cloud services, building secure CI/CD pipelines, and supporting containerized environments, with a focus on automation, security, and cloud cost optimization. Rate Range:
$45.45/hour to $53.03/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. DevOps Engineer / Release Engineer job responsibilities include: Lead DevOps efforts and software release activities in AWS environments. Manage AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, and CloudFormation. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, Maven, and XLR. Implement containerization using Docker and Kubernetes. Develop scripts and automate tasks using Python or Java. Perform database administration on MySQL, MSSQL, Postgres, DynamoDB, and MongoDB. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as HIPAA, PCI, and ITAR. Troubleshoot and resolve system performance, application deployment, and cloud infrastructure issues. Desired Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in cloud computing, DevOps, and release engineering. Strong hands-on AWS experience (EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, CloudFormation). Expertise with CI/CD, automation, and container orchestration. Strong scripting abilities in Python or Java. Experience in regulated environments ensuring security and compliance. Familiarity with ITSM, Agile methodologies, and cloud security best practices.
