Payment Services Manager
is a hands-on operational leader responsible for overseeing the Payment Services department. This role drives process improvements, ensures regulatory compliance, and develops a high-performing team. The ideal candidate is passionate about operational excellence, member experience, and innovation in payment operations. Responsibilities
Lead daily operations across ACH, Share Draft, wire transfers, bill pay, Card Services, and fraud detection. Manage and develop the Payment Services team through coaching, performance management, and collaboration. Maintain vendor relationships and ensure service quality across payment platforms. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and member satisfaction. Partner with Accounting and Finance to reconcile payment-related general ledgers. Serve as an escalation point for complex payment issues. Collaborate with Risk Management on compliance matters including OFAC, FinCEN, IRS, and BSA/SAR. Coordinate with tech support and vendors to resolve technical issues. Analyze payment trends and recommend operational enhancements. Support new payment initiatives and lead training efforts. Hire, train, and evaluate team members. Plan daily workflows and allocate resources effectively. Address employee concerns and ensure compliance with internal policies. Foster a professional, collaborative, and member-focused team culture. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field (preferred). Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) certification required within two years of hire. 2–3 years of experience in financial services or banking operations, with a focus on payments. Minimum 2 years of leadership experience. Strong understanding of ACH, wire, share draft processes, and Card Services. Excellent time management, organizational, and delegation skills. High attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a member-first mindset. What We Offer
