React Native Developer (Contract)

Company Description EdgeSoft LLC is a growing software company creating innovative apps for the future. Role Description We are looking for a React Native Developer (2 or more years of experience) to join our team on a contract basis for a specific project. You’ll work closely with our lead developer to design, develop, and maintain a high-quality mobile app with a subscription-based model. This role offers flexibility — primarily remote, with optional hybrid collaboration in the New York City area. Responsibilities Develop and maintain features in a React Native mobile app (iOS + Android). Work with RESTful APIs and integrate backend services. Debug and resolve performance and UI issues. Collaborate using Git and follow clean, maintainable coding practices. Participate in testing and QA cycles for new releases. Requirements 2 or more years of professional experience in React Native. Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, React hooks, and component-based architecture. Experience with Expo, navigation, and state management (Redux or similar). Hands-on experience with payment or subscription APIs (e.g., Apple In-App Purchase, Google Play Billing, or Stripe). Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and Git. Nice to Have Experience publishing apps to the App Store or Google Play. Familiarity with Firebase, AWS, or cloud-based backends. Understanding of UI/UX design principles. Contract Details Remote, flexible schedule. Contract term: project-based (approx. 1-2 months). Competitive hourly or fixed-rate compensation based on experience.
