Job Description
Responsibilities
Assess telecommunications technologies and design solutions aligned with FAA/FTI network requirements.
Architect and engineer next-generation telco services to replace legacy copper-based solutions.
Deliver tailored network implementations to meet customer requirements and long-term objectives.
Establish and apply best practices in network design, capacity planning, and service continuity.
Oversee the telco design release lifecycle, ensuring timely execution and alignment with program milestones.
Collaborate and coordinate with multiple teams to implement network solutions effectively.
Work independently and provide technical guidance in a team environment.
Requirement / Must Have
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent 4-year accredited degree.
Minimum of 4 years of prior WAN telecommunications network experience (or 2-year post-secondary degree with 8+ years of experience).
Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and support Ethernet and TDM network infrastructures.
Knowledge of telecommunications carrier ordering systems and processes.
Experience with database modeling software such as MetaSolv.
Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Preferred
Ability to obtain a security clearance.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications.
Skills
Telecommunication engineering expertise.
Network architecture and implementation knowledge for WAN environments.
Coordination and collaboration with multiple teams across technical domains.
Qualification and Education
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems) or equivalent experience.
