Univ Info & Tech Services Job Summary

This position is responsible for development, creating and modifying computer programs by converting project requirements into code. This position is also responsible for reporting and extracting data from the Ellucian Banner Student System and other database and enterprise applications. This individual will work within the Enterprise Software Team and report to the Manager of Enterprise Software. Responsibilities

Significant Duties & Responsibilities include: Reports directly to the Manager Enterprise Software; This position plays a key role supporting the Manager of Enterprise Software, ensuring key initiatives, strategies, understanding customer needs and challenges to fully leverage available technologies. Researches, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and third-party applications software and custom databases and software. Assist with quality assurance for all Enterprise Applications, processes, and databases. Assist reviewing and implementing software development in line with the university's strategic goals and initiatives. Program, test, debug, document, implement and provide pre and post-implementation support for application development, program enhancement, and/or third party software implementation and integration initiatives which directly or indirectly interface with the Ellucian Banner student records system. Provide guidance and support to the Manager of Enterprise Software and the Enterprise Software programmers on programming methodology and standards. Responsible to stay up to date with new technology in enterprise software, particularly within the Ellucian Banner Student Information System. Represent the U.I.T.S. department and university in professional meetings. Meet with the university's internal community such as faculty, staff and students, as needed, to determine specific technology needs for their operation(s) and the future direction the Ellucian Banner System should take. Provide recommendations and proposals to the Manager of Enterprise Software regarding new projects, and operational efficiency. Exceptional experience in data integrity, extraction, information security, and reporting within Ellucian Banner Student Information System. Required Qualifications

Required Qualifications include: The individual should have a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in a technical-related field with 5 years or more experience in an advanced programming position in a university or college setting. In lieu of experience above we will accept an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proposed Salary

The proposed annualized salary range for this position is $66,468 - $73,277 and includes full benefits. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities include: Solid knowledge in Enterprise Software Systems; Advanced knowledge of SQL Plus, SQL Navigator, or similar structure query language; Java, JavaScript, PHP, Python, C++, or similar object oriented programming language; Extensive Database design knowledge; Extensive experience and knowledge in Ellucian Banner Student Information System and Oracle Databases; Analyze code for problem resolution and performance optimization; Experience with technical project management; Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; Experience working in partnerships with other university personnel in a project team environment; Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service; Excellent communication and writing skills; Perform other departmental duties as assigned; Experience designing, developing, and deploying applications using Oracle APEX, including SQL, PL/SQL, and interactive reports/forms.
