Responsibilities
Mentoring and training of junior team members
Serves as an escalation point for Infrastructure Engineers
Conducts current state analysis of systems and procedures and recommends system design or modifications to achieve desired goals
Assists with roadmap planning of production infrastructure keeping versions current and supported
Implements and maintains enterprise standards for applications and infrastructure
Installs and configures systems according to design specifications
Assists with analysis, troubleshooting, repairing and performance tuning of complex systems and hardware components
Supports the ITIL Service Transition process ensuring new and modified services are appropriately documented, including as-built documentation, and Operations personnel (Service Desk and L2 Operations) are informed and trained
Supports testing and evaluation of technologies under review
Actively monitors the environment and appropriately assigns problem tickets, incidents, and schedules reviews to determine support needs for existing and new systems
Provides technical support and 24x7 incident response
Completes root cause analysis on failures resulting in downtime or performance outside of service level agreement tolerances
Assists with the development and ongoing support of annual infrastructure performance and capacity reports
Effectively communicates with business professionals, application owners, and customers in plain English while keeping their needs and the needs of IT in mind
The Infrastructure Engineer reports to a Manager of Information Technology Services. Additionally, the Senior Infrastructure Engineer is accountable for responding to training and direction from Lead Engineers, Architects, the Project and Service Management Offices.
This position may have additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit test requirements. Please consult the Physical Demands Project SharePoint site or contact Risk Management/Employee Health for additional information. May be required to walk or drive to and from various INTEGRIS Health facilities. Required working at computer terminal for long periods of time. May be required to work long hours for prolonged time periods during specific phases of project activities and/or emergency situations. May receive multiple callbacks during system emergencies.
Qualifications
4 years of relevant experience or bachelor’s degree in related field required
Previous work experience with demonstrable experience supporting multiple Infrastructure disciplines
Works with the business units to assist with the application of technology
Intermediate level certification (ex. RHCSA, CCNA, MCSA, VCP, VCAP, VCDX, CWNA, EMCSA, ACIS, CCP) or intermediate level storage certification preferred.
4 years' experience can substitute certification requirement
ITIL certification within 6 months of employment
Microsoft certifications preferred
Experience in Microsoft Active Directory preferred
