Overview Presbyterian is seeking a

Senior Quality Improvement Abstractor . This role oversees and performs Medical Record Retrieval, Review, and Reporting processes to support HEDIS, STARs, HEDIS-Like, supplemental, and other regulatory reporting, as well as PHP Board-approved health management initiatives across the enterprise. The Senior Abstractor assists with clinical decision-making, training, and quality oversight responsibilities. We are committed to caring for healthcare workers. Ideal Candidate Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (Associate degree plus 3 years of experience) Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 2 years of clinical experience or LVN/LPN with HEDIS experience and 3-4 years of clinical experience Knowledge of medical terminology, practices, coding, and data management Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Access Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Applying Performance Improvement tools for project planning, tracking, and reporting Developing data collection tools, analyzing data, and supporting quality initiatives Performing Medical Record Reviews to support quality and regulatory reporting (HEDIS, CMS Star, Medicaid, etc.) Managing provider caseloads, communicating progress, and ensuring timely medical record submissions Identifying clinical findings, documenting in HEDIS databases, and tracking outcomes Ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other policies, maintaining confidentiality Participating in audits, mentoring staff, and conducting site visits as needed Utilizing remote applications and tools for record abstraction and management Other duties include administrative tasks, training development, and travel as required.
