Junior Business Systems Analyst Contract-to-hire Hybrid Brief Description: The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) will work as part of a collaborative, fast-paced team to support either Cybersecurity Tech Operations or Enterprise Payments. This role involves partnering with Product Owners, Engineering, and Development teams to understand business needs, decompose work into actionable items, and ensure alignment with company strategy and goals. The BSA will also support release activities and production support efforts. Detailed Description: This is an entry-level position ideal for a driven, well-organized, and curious individual. The BSA must be self-motivated and thrive in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities include decomposing epics into features and user stories, performing research and analysis, triaging defects, and supporting Agile ceremonies and documentation efforts. Primary Responsibilities: Analyze Epics to support the development of Features and User Stories. Decompose Features into User Stories and refine the team’s backlog. Participate in Agile ceremonies: Daily Stand Ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews/Demos, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement. Facilitate meetings and act as a liaison between stakeholders and technical teams. Aid in defect triage during testing cycles and support production issue resolution. Write and execute database queries (SQL) and create data maps. Develop and update documentation for new or changed procedures. Respond to questions from team members and business partners. Participate in production release activities and risk/issue mitigation. Perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements 1 year of business analysis, cybersecurity, or data analysis experience with a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent transferable experience through coursework, internships, or work experience. Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong technical writing and documentation skills. Experience writing user stories and creating process/data maps. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with SQL Strong business and technology aptitude with a willingness to learn. Ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders. Highly motivated with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment. Professionalism and ability to build credibility with team members and partners.
