Position Overview The

Project Manager / Business Analyst

acts as the key liaison between business stakeholders and software development teams, both domestic and offshore. This individual plays a central role in guiding the design, development, and delivery of complex software initiatives. Responsibilities include translating business requirements into actionable user stories, managing release cycles, facilitating testing efforts, and maintaining detailed documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline

Minimum 5 years of experience in roles such as Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or Project Manager within a software development setting.

Hands-on experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar).

Strong background in creating process flows, use case diagrams, and technical documentation.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.

Prior experience supporting or implementing technology solutions in a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

Gather and document business and technical requirements, develop process and system recommendations, write user stories, coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), and conduct analytical reviews of identified issues.

Serve as the communication bridge between business partners and technology teams to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.

Support the evolution of Agile/Scrum practices across multiple platforms and teams.

Lead backlog refinement sessions, sprint planning, and daily scrum meetings to drive progress and accountability.

Primary Duties

Lead requirements-gathering sessions to capture both functional and technical needs.

Facilitate backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and other Scrum ceremonies.

Collaborate with business users to analyze needs and translate them into system capabilities.

Communicate product functionality and benefits in relation to end-user requirements.

Partner with developers to refine requirements based on system architecture and constraints.

Serve as the subject matter expert to clarify functional questions during development and testing.

Coordinate release documentation and support feature deployment activities.

Develop and maintain product documentation, including Epics, Features, and User Stories within Azure DevOps (ADO).

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and assist with debugging or data integrity analysis as needed.

Conduct research and validation for data-driven processes and integrations.

Proven track record managing multiple concurrent projects in a dynamic environment.

Balanced understanding of both business operations and technology delivery.

Processes & Methodologies

In-depth familiarity with Agile/Scrum principles and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Understanding of business analysis standards as defined by the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA).

Experience facilitating backlog management and Scrum ceremonies.

Ability to promote and refine Agile practices within a cross-functional environment.

Technical Tools & Platforms

Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, MS Teams, SQL Server, Power BI, Visio, Power Automate, and Copilot.
