What You’ll Do

Deliver Tier II support across multiple large enterprise environments that include Windows and Linux-based desktop and server systems. Operate within multiple security enclaves in a hybrid Windows & Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environment to ensure stable system performance and reliability. System Administration & Advisory: Administer Windows and Linux workstations, including EVDI and physical systems, ensuring stability, performance, and security. Linux Desktop Support: Provide direct support for Linux desktop users, addressing performance, configuration, software compatibility, and user environment optimization. Troubleshooting & Incident Resolution: Diagnose and resolve issues across Windows and Linux systems, including application crashes, connectivity, and performance problems. User Experience Improvement: Analyze and resolve cross-platform user issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams on improvements. Customer Support: Deliver Tier II support for Linux and Windows applications with remote assistance and escalation as needed. Proactive Solutions: Identify and implement immediate and long-term fixes to minimize operational impact. Collaboration & Communication: Work effectively in teams and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Incident Management: Lead triage, response, and communication for system incidents and contribute to major projects and continuous improvement efforts. What We're Looking For

We’re seeking an experienced IT professional with hands-on expertise in both Windows and Linux environments, with a strong emphasis on Linux desktop support and troubleshooting. Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field – or equivalent technical training, work, or military experience. 8+ years of experience in systems administration supporting both Windows and Linux operating systems. Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required. DoD Information Assurance (IA) certification (such as CompTIA Security+ CE, SSCP, or CCNA-Security) is necessary; CompTIA Security+ CE is preferred. Must obtain DoD 8570 Computing Environment (CE) training within 6 months of hire. Technical Expertise

Linux Desktop Administration (Red Hat, CentOS, or Ubuntu) – installation, configuration, and user support. Windows (Windows 10, Server 2012, Server 2016). Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, LDAP. Application troubleshooting (Outlook, Excel, Word, Java, browsers). Familiarity with ServiceNow, NETS, or similar ticketing systems. Solid understanding of ITIL v3 or higher. Bonus Skills (Not Required but a Plus)

Experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM). PowerShell or Bash scripting. Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Citrix). Experience with profile management tools like VMware UEM. Working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and AV/telephony support. Networking fundamentals. Familiarity with agency-specific requirements and secure environments. Additional Information
